Console Mattiacci Law, LLC hire four new attorneys

Susan Toth

Prior to joining Console Mattiacci Law, LLC, Susan gained extensive litigation experience representing individuals in a broad range of matters at a center city Philadelphia law firm. Susan earned her Juris Doctor, with a Certificate in Comparative & International Law, in 2008 from The Catholic University, Columbus School of Law. While in law school, Susan was a member of the Moot Court Association and was selected as its Chancellor. Before attending law school, Susan completed graduate legal studies in international human rights law at The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. She received her bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 2001. Susan currently serves as a Board Member of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, and provides pro bono representation to children in the foster care system through the Support Center for Child Advocates.

Lane Schiff 

Lane received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University before earning his Juris Doctor, cum laude, at Temple University Beasley School of Law. During law school, Lane was a staff member of the International and Comparative Law Journal, and also earned the distinction of “Best Paper” for his excellence in legal research and writing. Lane gained experience in the legal field as a research assistant during law school and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Pamela Dembe, President Judge for the Court of Common Pleas. Prior to joining Console Mattiacci Law, LLC, Lane previously worked for two boutique law firms, focusing his practice primarily on plaintiff-side employment law. Originally from Pennsylvania, Lane is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Lane has contributed to the Philadelphia Bar Association’s blog “Upon Further Review,” and is an avid marathon runner.

Kevin Console

Before joining Console Mattiacci Law, LLC, Kevin worked for a civil plaintiffs’ firm, serving clients in wide variety of matters. Kevin graduated from Gettysburg College, magna cum laude, with a major in political science, and went on to attend Rutgers School of Law – Camden, where he earned his Juris Doctor. During law school, Kevin competed in the Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Competition, a national appellate moot court competition, hosted by Brooklyn Law School.  Kevin is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York state bars.

Kate Oeltjen

Kate joined Console Mattiacci Law, LLC following two judicial clerkship terms in New Jersey and an associate position at Flaster Greenburg.  Before her work as an associate, Kate clerked for the Honorable Renee Marie Bumb in the District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Gloria M. Burns, Chief Judge, in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.  Kate obtained her Juris Doctor in 2003 from Rutgers School of Law – Camden, with honors.  While in law school, Kate served as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing & Moot Court.  She received her undergrad degree from Colby College in Maine.  Kate and her family reside in Moorestown, New Jersey, and Kate is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.

Nicholas Romeu

Nicholas graduated from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in May 2015, where he was a Beasley Scholar and a Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society Fellow. During his time at Temple Law, Nicholas worked at Console Mattiacci Law, LLC, for a federal district judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as a Counselor in Temple Law’s Academic Core Enrichment Program. Prior to law school, Nicholas attended Villanova University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Nicholas was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the top honor society available to members of his graduate program. While at Villanova, Nicholas also worked as a Statistical Analyst at the University’s Office of Alumni Relations and assisted in research funded by the Waterhouse Family Institute for the Study of Communication.

Ashley Waring

Originally from Pennsauken, New Jersey, Ashley graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in May 2015. Throughout her time in law school, she worked as a writing fellow and teaching assistant for a legal writing and research professor, and was a research assistant on health care law. In January 2014, she participated in the Cross Disciplinary Professional Development program in Nicaragua, where she worked with a law professor and other students to assist small businesses with their legal issues. In her third year at Wake Forest, she participated in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic, through which she presented an oral argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. The Fourth Circuit ruled in her client’s favor. Ashley’s other law school experiences include volunteering with the Wake Forest University Pro Bono Project, participating with the London Study Abroad Program, interning for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Renee H. Toliver in Dallas, Texas, and working as a law clerk at Console Mattiacci Law, LLC. Ashley also served as an Articles Editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy, Chief Justice of the Wake Forest University Moot Court Team, and both President and Vice President of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA).
